Finally Dynoed the 5.0!!!
Well, the fox is being given to my dad and before I let it go I wanted to know what it really had. First the modslisting only those affecting whp)
TKO500
4.10's
flex-fan
X303 cam
1.6 RR's (aluminum)
GT40P, shaved .030 with .030 gasket
Probe forged pistons
new 302 block (not 306, 302, 97' production probably)
BBK Xpipe
force II cat-back (flowmaster)
575 Barry Grant Demon carb (mechanical)
Edelbrock RPM manifold
FMS aluminum DS
Melling high volumn oil pump
underdriven crank pulley
Now the numbers: 244rwhp 262 rwtq. The A/F ratio was around 12.7-13.4 on the hand-held wideband. Peak hp was in the high 5000's. Not bad, better than I expected, I was hoping for around 220 or so. Anywho, LS1 coming soon (different ride, not in the fox)
I ran a new style GT (05+) A5 on the way home from a 70-100 roll. Pulled by a little over a car each time There is the kill portion of this post.

Ya know, I am kind of sorry to see you let go of that ride.
I have followed your post's for a long time and was really hoping to see you get that car into the high 12's.

No, I have owned the car since mile 0 and it has 20+-K miles on it (the parts that matter, engine/rear/tranny/suspension, body is like 190K miles) Not abused. Motor is tuned well, A/F was a constant 13.0 WOT and as far as ****ed up, who knows. Good compression and the hp curve showed no spiking indicating bad valve springs and the power peaked right where it should for the X-cam. It made about what I think it should, 340bhp is what the motor was rated at without accessories on an engine dyno. According to Keith Craft, a motor will lose 20-25 depending on accessories added (electric/mechanica; water pump, ect). and I lost 27% from the motor to the tires. That sounds about right with a flex fan and 4.10's and no electric accessories (still has mechanical water pump, ect.) As to the LS1 vs. 99-04 GT. My LS1tech friends have finally swayed me past the point of return, I must procure an LS1. It was this video that did it.

So they say...Actually, this car will be doing a lot [8D] It will be being traded for an LS1, and thats the most "power" I think I can get out of it
All I know is all the numbers add up for me. 27% loss from driveline+accessories isnt great, but its not wierd either. I think the motor was over-rated at 340 by a tad anywho.
