Mustang GT vs Civic
Raced a 1992-95 Civic turbocharged from a 40mph roll. By 80 I got him by 2 cars in front but from there to 130 we stayed the same. I was in front by 2 cars. Those little civic's are fast IMO.

Umm. A Yugo can be fast if you stick a turbo setup in it and turn up the boost high enough. Just don't ask how long said Yugo will last. Sure, there are plenty of built up fast 4 bangers, but those engines weren't designed for such sustained high power applications. They inevitably break, which is why 4 banger tuners always have so many extra engines and engine parts lying around. Personally, I don't see the point. If you want to go faster, why handicap yourself with something with so few cylinders that can't make much torque? At least START with a V8.........hell, ANY V8 is a better base performance platform to start with than a 4 banger.

I've never been much on Civic's but the Old School Corolla's with 3tc's and Mazda's with Rotarys are nothing to disregard. I had a RX-4 that would take my 05 to the Cleaners and my friend has a Corolla that runs mid 10s and he drives the damn thing every day to work. So Civic's yeah, girl car. But there are some serious 4 bangers out there so I'm always cautious of when one of them picks a fight with me.
