Okay, okay, no Mustangs were involved but just bare w/ me for a sec......
Saturday night, first time in forever it was nice weather out, so there were a lot of car guys out. Being a mostly import dominated area, the Jap boys were out in numbers, lol. I'm driving by Taco Bell when I notice a few buddies parked there along w/ about a dozen other cars. After chatting for a while, we go riding around, and after getting bored w/ that, decide to set up some races. Here's a breakdown of the cars: 3 Evo VIII's (stock), 2 WRX's (heavily modded), 3 DSM's (two GST, one GSX, all modded), 2 RSX's (modded), SVT Contour (heavily modded), 2 350Z's (mine stock, the other twin turboed), one Celica (stock GTS), FD3S RX7 (heavily modded), 2 STi's (one stock, one Cobb Stage1), an '06 GTO (stock), and finally a Ford Lightning (stock). We head out of town a ways, and thus the following action ensues:

WRX vs Evo- from 30 to 100- dead even

other WRX vs Evo- from dig to 100- WRX by 3 cars

Me vs Evo- from 20 to 70- me by 2 cars (we shut down early cause he missed a shift)

Me vs TT 350Z- from 30 to 90- him by about 6 cars

TT 350Z vs RX7- from 30 to 120- dead even

Me vs WRX- from 30 to 100- me by 1/2 car

GST vs GSX- from 20 to 100- GSX by 2 cars

Me vs Lightning- from 20 to 70- me by 1/2 car (somebody else got in our way)

Me vs GTO- from a dig to 90, then 10 to 100, then 45 to 110- him by 3ish cars; from 25 to 125- him by 4 1/2

Lightning vs STi- from 30 to 100- STi by 2 1/2 cars

Lightning vs GST from 25 to 100- Lightning by 2 cars

There were a few others that I missed, but I'm just posting results from the races that I either saw or were in. All speeds listed above are give or take a few mph. All in all, it was fun, and we got some really good runs in. I thought you guys might enjoy, especially since the Lightning was in the mix. He repped pretty well considering he was the only truck, only Ford, and bone-stock against a bunch of modded imports, haha. We're all planning on getting together as soon as our local strip opens up, and I'll try to get somo vid clips for you guys. Last night was just so spur-of-moment to get any real footage. I was gonna ask if you were in College Station, Texas on Sat cause i saw this exact same thing a bunch of STI's, EVO's,JAP cars tearin up the streets.......but your in North Dakota so iguess not. FUGGIN STREET RACIN RICERS!!!! [:-]J/K

So let me get this right. A "heavily modded" WRX got beat by a stock 350z? Dude what do you consider "heavily modded"? I don't even consider my car "heavily modded" and I ran a 12.4@108.

Sorry but I think you are making the WRX out to be slower then they are.

I ran the slower of the two. He said he had boost controller, injectors, downpipe, exhaust, intake. I consider that modded pretty well, I just used "heavily" modded as a relative term.

Yeah, well..... I don't mind going from a dig, lol. That's why I ran the GTO from a dig. I think I can launch my car pretty well. I actually took him out of the hole slightly. Unfortunately, that's not enough to make up for a 100hp deficit, lol.[&o]

Taking a car that traps 92-93 all the way up to 108 isnt heavily modded? 15+mph in the 1/4 takes a hell of alot of power.

What is heavily modded? I'd be surprised as **** if you are even still on the stock turbo.
