one thing that i really was concerned with was the padding coming out. it seems that many of them dont have this feature, anhd honestly, i get pretty sweaty in the car. also, i dont like when the pads around the face push against my face...so i take them out..my helmet allows me to snap them in for tech inspection, then take them out.
Which helmet is would be better? This one or that one? I'm tempted to just get the full face helmet because it retails for more and is a better deal, but the bell open face would be much more comfortable.

i dont know much about AGV..but snell rated is snell rated.
here is the reason that i like full face helmets...i dont know about you, but i dont like having to squint, so i like having sunglass on while running, and many helmets are snug enough that sunglasses are shoved into the side of your face...for this reason, i bought a full face helmet, with a dark visor...so i can have it down when racing in the day, and up at night.

Good point. I think I'll go with the full face. More helmet for the buck anyway.

Naaa...the shaded visor isn't that huge of a deal to me. I'll be racing mostly at night anyway. I just suspect the AGV to be a better quality helmet. I did a search and they retail for between $110-140. That model of Bell I actually found on the retail market for the same price that auction is for.

RE: Racing Helmet
I got my helmet at wal mart for $75. Its a bell fullface helmet. None of the tech at any of the tracks I run at have even so much as looked at the helmet.

I've never actually raced but according to my dyno numbers. I should run 8s on street tires.

RE: Racing Helmet
so if it says snell aproved is that usually good enough for the track?
I am getting sick of those disgusting track helmets, I know one of these days I am going to end up with lice or something. There are so many different helmets for sale I am always worried that I will pick up one that is not approved
