Any plans for an engine? Just curious as the stock blower can get you close to the "safe" limit on the stock bottom end. We've done a 3.6 kb, with e85 and all the necessary bolt ons. It was extremelyyyy limited by the safety thing. Could make 1000whp easy with that blower and stock heads/cams with a good rotating assembly.

Nothing crazy.. probably just keep the 2.8KB I have (didn't want to mess with moving anything to fit it, or a new hood)... and that's about it. I don't need 1,000 hp ... just 750-800 - that'll work just fine, lol - from what I hear that should be fine on the stock motor... unless I am one of the unlucky ones.

Yeah 750-800 will be perfectly fine! Good choice on the 2.8, the 3.6 I put on required so much crap to get it to fit. shimming the k, drop motor mounts, cutting the hood, etc.

CT... that's exactly what I wanted to avoid. Unless I do cams/LT's I hear the 3.6 nets you nearly 40rwhp.. I got the blower on sale from KB for 4k in lieu of the normal 6999, so it's a huge win imho; wasn't worth all the extra money to me. Just hoping the clutch/rear axle holds up well enough. I have the TP so I have the torsen diff., but who knows... lol - Track next Thursday to run a baseline before any of these items, so i'll have a brand new post to complain about 2.4 60";s because I suck at launching street tire cars, nonetheless oen with this much stock power!

well for what it's worth the car I've been talking about has bone stock clutch/suspension and rear end. Only drivetrain modification is an upgraded clutch line(which looked almost the same as the one I took off) and an mgw shifter, and it's still holding up ok!

Cant wait to see what times you get tho! hopefully somewhere in the mid 11's!

I'll have the new MGW style when it comes out next month - I hate waiting for it. The KB should be here in the next week, install the week after with my O/R Hpipe. My guy said he worked on a 900+rwhp Shelby that road races all the time and his clutch/axle has held up, so im hopin!

I would love to break into the mid 11's; I know the car can... but I spin into 3rd gear on the street with the stock tires... so, who knows... maybe ill just go 75% into first gear. BMP in Bradenton, Fl normally has some awesome track prep., but I guess ill find out Thursday lol

Thoughts?
