95 gt conv vs integra gsr
well today i raced my friend with his integra gsr its a 5spd,full exhaust system, hollowed catsand a k&n cold air intake. my 95 gt conv is pretty much stock with k&n filter, summit mufflers, hollowed cats and an auto. in the 1/4 from a roll he beat me by a half car. i beat him by a car the second time we raced cause he spun. this this sound about right?
i think i need a new water pump or thermostat cause after the 2nd time we raced my car was overheating.

when we raced from a dig i won by a carcause he spun. we tried to race from a dig another time and he got a good launch and he was gone but there were cars in front of us. from a roll he beat me by a 1/2 car.

First off you didn't spin, but he did? Your car still makes almost twice the torque his does, I can't see an almost stock gsr putting up that much of a fight. Oh, and a win is a win, it's not your fault he spun.

well he just finished the car and isnt quite used to a 5spd. my car doesnt spin from a dead stop,it will spin a little if i stall the converter a little. its an auto and it has 285's in back so it shouldnt really spin off the line.
my car could just not been running like it should? im pretty sure why water pump or thermostat is bad but idk if that would make it run slower.

Running hotter will definitely rob some power but you have to remember that a convertible will weight a good 200-300 pounds more than the coupe. I know that the gsr is rated at 170 hp and 128 ft.lbs. and with the exhaust and mods you can expect maybe 180-185 crank hp, and a significant drop in torque because a bigger exhaust and no cats willcause a significant drop in exhaust velocity especially for a small 1.X liter engine. The only catagory that isan advantage forthe gsr is the weight, so that probably played a big part.

if your car is over heating under heavy acceleration you may have a blown head gasket as well, mine was doing that last year
Those are the results I would expect, gsr's are fairly quick little cars and a sn95 vert auto is pretty much the slowest mustang youcan get

ok thanks,i hope its not a head gasket,i dont have this problem when its cooler out, only when its real hot out. yesterday it was in the high 90's and it would run hotter than usual and overheat if i beat on it. then later it rained and it cooled down and it was running at normal temp.
