WTF??? Raced a Saturn Ion Redline
Before anyone says ANYTHING I did win...but barely
Story:
Ok, so I'm cruising with two of my friends in my 2006 GT. Mods: Brenspeed 91 tune, JLT, and Flows. Not much, but the tune/intake combo give quite an advantage over stock. Some dude in a Ion Redline starts signaling to race. I'm thinking, "Um, ok, wtf ever, quit wasting my time." Well one friend in my car convinces me to go for it. We raced from a digg, and that SON OF A BITCH stayed side by side with me, until I hit 4th and started to pull on him. We did this twice, and got the same result. I signal him down to see what he's running. He tells me it's bone stock. I know I didn't lose, but how the hell did a "stock" Redline keep up with my tuned GT until I hit 4th??? Aren't these things in SRT4 territory? I'm not a terrible driver, so is he lying?
Oh, after I talked to him a Termi pulled into the parking lot as I was leaving. He decided to follow me out. Then he was also trying to make a run against me. I rolled down the window and said "F**k that! I'm not retarded!" He said he wanted to see exactly how bad he would destroy me. Still jacked up on an adrenaline rush, I decide what the hell. I'm sure every single one of you can predict the outcome of that...

Well if that video is right and that is one of the "fastest" Ions and it ran a 14.21, and you have an easy 13.5 car. He is not stock. 0.71 second difference there... And if your a really good driver on a really good day you could probably run a bit faster than 13.5.

Ok, to answer the first question:
I weigh 185lbs, my friend in the passenger seat weighs 220lbs, and the guy in the back weighs 200lbs. So 605lbs of pure man in my car. The Ion had 2 guys, both looking in the 175lb range.
I'm pretty sure something had to his car, other than the extra 255ish pounds in my car.
