Default Got a good race in against a 350Z

This was the best race i've had in a while! I got onto the highway and noticed a nice looking 350Z. It had smoked taillights and it looked like a titanium exhaust. I worked my way through traffic to catch up to him and I guess he noticed me cuz he got on it. We played around a bit making out way through traffic. And then we ended up next to each other with nice big open straight ahead of us. We slowed to 45 and I honked it off. I started in 2nd which at 45 puts me right in my power band. I pulled on him a little bit and put him at my rear fender/bumper shifted to 3rd and he stayed there the whole time all the way until I shut it down at the end of 3rd. After the initial start no one pulled on the other, it was dead even. I love those close races lol I tossed him a thumbs up and he returned one and we went our seperate ways. I've run other modded Z's(and G35s) and put a hurting on them... this guy had to have a decent amount of stuff done to run right next to me like that. I was impressed.

Later on... I ran into an EVO i think IX. He had some carbon fibre peices up front and the splitter on the roof. I was cruising at the speed limit and he shot a rev at me as he passed. So I hopped over and the chase began lol We played around through traffic and we got a few open straights. He would gun it but I would stay right on top of him. I would creep in on him a little bit but then I couldn't pull any closer to him but he wasn't getting away either. Eventually we ended up pulling over and I asked him what he had. He said basically he just had a tune. He said he used to have a big cam in it and some other stuff and it was running mid-high 11s but he had to take it out and he doesn't really know what he'd be running now. He also said he has some problems in the heat too tho and that he stopped so it could cool down. I wanted to get a good side by side run from a stop or a roll but it never happened, I think it would have been a close race. Cool guy tho.

Cliffs:

Ran a modded 350Z from 45-110ish had him at my rear fender/bumper the whole time.

Played around with an evo, he couldn't pull away and I couldn't pull ahead.

Sweet runs, congrats! One of my buddies has a full bolt on 350z and it makes 311/292 to the wheels. They can make a good amount of power when modded, good runs once again!

ya know... I didn't even think to check for that... I THINK it was one of the newer ones, I don't remember seeing those gay lines on the hood... so if memory serves correctly it had the hood with the buldge lol But I really don't remember lol

Hmmm... maybe that was why he had to remove it... 1 big cam and 1 stock cam isn't a very good combo lol I'm sure he meant cams lol

Nice run. If it wasn't for the difference in price I would own a 350Z. Nice cars, one the few cars I consider "Jap Muscle".

That sounds really high!

Especially the tq.

Z1 motorsports 350Z is badass with a 3.8 stroker motor heads and cams and that has only a little over 300rwhp......what do YOU consider "bolt-ons"

Another example is a buddy of mine makes just over 300 with a 75shot and Testpipes

Good runs. That must have been a later 350Z.
