Default S197 VS LS1

So I finally got a decent run in my car. I've got a 2008 GT with an 87 octane brenspeed tune. That's about it for power mods. Stock airbox as well. The other car was a pewter colored LS1 Trans Am. It had at least an exhaust because it was louder than my car with boomtubes.

We went from a 50 roll and by about 100 I lost by less than half a car. I was pretty shocked. I expected an LS1 to pull me hard from a roll.

Well, an LS1 f-body with exhaust is a low 13 car. I think an S197 with a tune is a sub 13.5 car. Seems like a great matchup to me.

Although anytime the words "LS1" appear, everyone's brain turns into ****. lol

Did you swap an LT1 in your car? That's the only feasible way this actually happened.

No LT1. Just a B16.

Good run! Naw man, thats a good match up with your tune, even from a roll. He may of pulled a little more if you guys pushed it to ludicris speed, but imo thats more of an aero thing as to why the S197 falls back.

The trans am might not have had exhaust done. I know a lot of people around here just put in exhaust cutouts which makes them sound very mean.

Yeah he was slowly creeping. I'm sure the gap would have gotten bigger if we kept going.
