Default NEW PB YESTERDAY!!

I got a 87 gt Mods: LT's and off road mid pipe mac catback, cai, 75mm maf, 70mm tb, explorer intake, 1.7 rr's, udp's, e-fan, aluminum ds, and 3.73 gears with a 4cyl tranny and I was running on 26x8.5 M&H racemasters from 1992 (that's when I uncle bought them).

Well I went to Virginia Motorsports Park yesterday and man was it nice!! When we got there it was already 62 degrees and a light breeze and running started at 12 and I watched some racing for about 30 minutes...

The first pass right off the trailer I launched at about 4000 and slipped it quickly and it hooked and hooked hard and when I pulled 2nd gear my glove box flew open and everything in it flew out and smacked the seat!! lol
60' 1.86
1/8 8.26@83.86
1/4 12.95@104.78 450 DA

As of now that was my best pass yet in the car and I was happy I was shooting for 12.99 at least and my previous best was a 13.26@102.56

60' 1.98
1/8 8.45@83.62
1/4 13.13@104.99 650 DA <-- My worst pass of the day

60' 1.90
1/8 8.27@83.71
1/4 12.96@104.87 650 DA

60' 1.87
1/8 8.27@83.81
1/4 12.95@104.81

60' 1.82
1/8 8.23@83.68
1/4 12.91@105.25

60' 1.81
1/8 8.23@83.44
1/4 12.92@104.87

60' 1.83
1/8 8.20@83.74
1/4 12.87@105.32

60' 1.91
1/8 8.26@84.00
1/4 12.93@105.55

60' 1.83
1/8 8.17@84.16
1/4 12.82@105.92 413 DA This was my last pass of the day and I launched around 57-5800 and it felt sooooo good.

All the runs happened in order as they are posted I was very impressed with how it ran. I reweighed the car since I don't have the drag radials on anymore and it weighs 2965 w/o me in it and 3265 with me in it.

My dad's 2011 5.0 has a JLT cai, Lethal Performance 3in o/r x-pipe flowmaster hushpower axle back, aluminum ds, factory 3.73's, sct mail order tune by John Lund, and big n littles 423whp (he has the clutch peddle issue anything over 6500 the clutch peddle sticks to the floor) So he was shifting early and granny shifting like crazy and still ripped off a 1.72 60' 7.83@92.3 12.11@116.7 and best mph was 117.6

My Uncle had his 03 Mach 1 up there. Car only has K&N drop in filter, aluminum ds, and weld in Mac mufflers, on the stock tires from ford (goodyear eagles I think) He had to baby it out the hole and granny it into 2nd so it wouldn't spin 60' 2.02 8.58@86 13.18@106.7.... The car in the same forum has gone 13.06@107.9 at Rockingham.

My other buddy that went has a 2011 5.0 Lt's, 3in x-pipe, borla axle back, JLT cai, tune, 4.30's and big n littles on dr's. Car put down 433whp and his best pass was right off the trailer pulled a 1.68 60' 7.50@94 11.76@117.4

It was a great day nobody broke and everybody ran great times!!! Can't wait for next year to come already..

Those are some nice runs! Very consistent. You've got one of the best running Foxes with those mods that I've seen.

That 2011 is moving. Very impressive, makes me want one that much more. What's the deal with that clutch pedal though? Does Ford have a fix for that? Those Mach numbers look very familiar, lol. I've had 3 of them, and all 3 were high 12/low 13 second cars on street tires (4.10 gears). A decent set of DRs and some 4.10s gets them down to a consistent mid 12 pretty easily (with a couple of other bolt-ons of course).

Congrats on the pb.

Nice run. Wish I could have made it. Though on streets I would have just got smoked by some Mustangs, haha.

Thanks man!! But with the clutch pedal thing from what I've seen/heard some have it then some don't.... For 3 days last week it worked for like it was suppose to and my dad was shifting at 7100 powershifting and could hardly keep it in the road it was getting so crazy... Then when he put it up the pedal stuck to the floor. For does not have a way to fix it as of now.... Some people say the GT500 pedal set fixes it or you can take the spring off the back of the pedal (basically the same thing as the gt500 pedal set) but that didn't work for my dad... The last option I know is getting a Mcleod twin disc clutch, slave and master cylinder from them as well..... I think that's the rout my dad will be going before long.

Hopefully next season we'll be heading to the track days together, with 2 trailers

I imagine the wind effects your car more than most. Nice runs and congrats.

Also, why did you trailer in the 2011 5.0? Was it on slicks?
