Unhappy Lost to a 4 cyl...

All yesterday I listened to my friend say "A turbo doesn't make THAT much of a difference." So, today, cruising around in my S197 v6 , I pulled up next to a small 4 cylinder (decently old) Honda, and I noticed it had a race spoiler and a hood scoop - so I decided to test my friend's theory.

I pulled up a little further, revved my engine, and flashed my brights.

Light turned green and DANG that little thing took off like a rocket.

Yeah, maybe I could've won had I started off like we were racing - my take off was about what I'd do next to a cop because the guy didn't even acknowledge me revving and flashing, but once I noticed him gunning it, I put the pedal to the metal.

So... Yeah... That turbo really makes a difference...

So you saw a car that had a big spoiler and you knew it was turbo'd because it had a hood scoop and a spoiler?

How'd you know it was turbo'd if he ignored all your 'attention getting' antics... and when did you talk to him to find out it was turbo'd.

So, friend says turbos don't make much difference. Later you pull up next to a random Honda with a spoiler and hood scoop at a light, start flashing your lights and reving at him... then he takes off and you didn't because you didn't know he was going to race.... and you lost because it had a turbo (so he says, but when did you talk to him if he was ignoring your flashing lights and reving?) ..... yea. Might want to be a little more specific on the details.

Turbos are just like your wallet or your johnson. Little turbos wont get you far just like a little johnson and wallet ain't taking you far. but MY BIG TURBO, JOHNSON, AND WALLET are things im proud of.

http://www.shelbysupercars.com/ultimate-aero.php

For your friend who thinks turbos don't make that much of a difference. Unless things have changed, still the fastest production car in the world.
