Duramax vs WS6 Trans Am
finally got a good run with the Duramax today, against a stock '02 Trans Am WS6. went from a 15 roll, me starting in 3rd gear. he honked it off, and we were off. he got a car jump on me as i waited for the turbo to spool, then at the top of 3rd i about blew the tires off. quick shift into 4th cured that problem, and then i started reeling him back in. another shift to 5th and i pulled even with him. slammed into 6th gear and put half a car on him till i hit my rev limiter (112mph).
not bad for a 7300lbs truck with a triple disc clutch and tune. and before anyone claims BS, it dynoed 598rwhp and 1042rwtq.

Damn, thats a lot of power. Good run, Fury. Diesel trucks blow my mind. Saw one run 10.84 at 116 last weekend, thing was nasty and smoked like a coal train from one end of the track to the other.

FYI: My best friend has a 96 F-350 7.3 4x4 auto quad cab long bed with 220k miles, nothing but a Banks 6 gun and 4" cat back exhaust. He could pull on me for a bit in my tuned, geared 99 Z28 manual from a slow roll until it got uncomfortable....and he has 39" tires...with 3 passengers. The last time I went to a test and tune at the coastal plains drag strip there were big diesel trucks in the 12s from the big 3. Sleeper work truck FTW!!!
