Default Fastlane Crashes Turbo Mustang

Driver's name is Caleb. His Dad owns fastlane motorsports in Benson, NC. He has tuned or worked on all 3 of my Machs and my S197. Good guy. He's had this Saleen since he was in high school, and has gradually turned it into a 7 second 1/4 mile beast. Not sure what happened exactly, but it looks like he simply got out of the groove and lost control it at what looks like 130+ mph. Here are a couple vids.

From the stands.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oR76l...&feature=feedu

Further down the track.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iF2DBKUKqLo

On board cam.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bPFEx...&feature=feedu

Caleb is fine, just pissed off more than anything.

7 seconds can get out of hand sometimes and there's nothing you can do about it. That's a lot of power.

Just the nature of the beast unfortunately.

Yea, with that much power and speed its almost impossible to react quick enough or in a way to correct it. At some point you're just along for the ride.

I wonder if the engine and drivetrain is salvageable.... at least get the belly of the beast into another wagon and cover at least a little bit of the expense of building another

Went by the shop and checked out the car the other day. Its not nearly as bad as it appears. Basically got the front supports and skin, but thats about it really. The turbo is fine too believe it or not, and it was sitting just behind the grill, although it did knock it off. The rear of the car is untouched. The front wheel did snap off, but the rotor is fine, lol. Amazing how little damage there was. He's going to cut off all the bent up supports in the front and just weld tube stuff back in. He said he was lucky it didn't roll or he would've had a mess.
