Default Lincoln MKS EcoBoost vs LT1 Camaro

so, I was out riding around today in a 2011 MKS EcoBoost when I came up on a fairly loud LT1 Camaro with a younger guy driving it. I dont know the trim..it didnt have any badges but it was a V8. I had the lincoln's stereo up very loud and when I pulled next to the guy, he was revving at me..perhaps trying to show off for the girl riding with him. As the cross traffic stopped, i brought the RPMs up a little and launched hard on the green light and very quickly got out ahead of him...pulling away in a hurry until i saw him let off.

He gets along side of me at the next light and i smile over at him and hes smiling back...he yells that he missed 2nd gear and he wants another shot. so we wait for traffic to clear and the light to change and this time, i dont get as much of a jump on him and it actually took me a couple seconds before i got away from him and this time we both stayed into it a bit...or at least i did. by the time i was well over the century mark he was quite a ways back.

Anyways..as we get down the road he again ends up next to me in traffic so i asked him..what happened that time?

his reply was "f*** you"..and then he turned off of that road...

Ive never been a huge lincoln fan as theyve always been bulky old man cars but im amazed by this car. inside and out, it really is incredible. i enjoyed the CTS that i had for a while but this really blows it out of the water.

Those MKS are bad *** rides. I wish I could afford one. Its easy to overlook a car like that due to its subtle, luxury type appearance. Anyone tuning those cars yet?

livernois tuned a sho(same thing with a little "less" luxury). not sure on the power but it ran side by side with a 2011 gt afterwords. I drive ecoboost cars all the time at work and while i can never really open them up, the times that i have got on them some I've always been impressed. the sho/mks, flex, explorer, and even the f150 all feel very peppy with them.

Are the SHO and MKS built off the same platform, or are they the same car/weight/etc, just rebadged? I was thinking the MK was lighter, more along the lines of the Fusion. I should probably google this **** instead of asking, lol.

edit... I googled it and got this from MT... "as the Lincoln shares its chassis architecture with the S80, as well as Volvo's XC90 sport/utility, and the Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable."

I saw that vid of the SHO running the 5.0. If you need a full size AWD sedan like that, and still want to have a good time, the SHO or MKS are both real good options. I like everything about both except for the size. They are big fuggers.

they are deffinitely large. but drive awesome. not positive about the sho but the mks has that adaptive cruise control which is so friggin nice. and they both(along with most premium model fords/lincolns) have the best back up cameras i've seen in a vehicle.
