Me vs vortech + meth 01 gt
Well guys I got in my first official run with this car, and wasn't even planning to since i'm breaking in a new clutch (already have 250 miles on it, so it's getting there) and am waiting to get it on the dyno to confirm everything.
Long story short...a guy (a kid actually lol) I met at a car show today said he would love to run me. He's from my hometown area, and was heading out the same time I was. His ride: a 2001 gt with long tubes, 4.10's and a Vortech + meth putting down 415 rwhp. Plus the guy who tuned his car, was the same guy who tuned my stang. I was very reluctant at this point, because of not knowing things like a/f, timing, etc...but figured a quick highway run wouldn't be too bad...on the clutch or car Plus I shifted at just over 6000 rpm instead of the 6500 where it should probably be. Basically he pulls up to me at around 60 mph, and drops down to 3rd, so I do the same. I'm waiting to see if he's gonna honk it of or something, but instead he just nails it lol. So I nail it a slit second after him, and he has maybe a one car lead at this point. I kid you not, within maybe 2-3 seconds I stopped his pull, and had a good half car on him by the top of third. So I granny shift into 4th at this point at a hair over 6000 rpm, and by the top of 4th I probably had a good 3 plus cars on him. I mean I pretty much knew I would win, but considering that I had another 300-500 rpm to go I thought it would be a little closer than that lol. He gives me the thumbs up as he drives by with a big grin, and that was that lol. Cool thing is that we exchanged numbers, so I now have a new local car buddy to hang with
Bottom line this car is a lot faster than I anticipated...considering I short AND granny shifted lol. I'm really anxious to get this thing on the dyno and to the track, but I still have another 9 days to go before the dyno lol

Thanks guys! Stone no vids just yet, but rest assured they are coming Just ask Pete (99gtvert) about how my car sounds We met up at that local car event where I ran that Mustang today.
Disguise, besides breaking in the clutch, I have no dyno of this car. The people who tuned it are now out of business, and the original owner has no dyno sheet, no info on a/f, timing, etc...so running it at the ragged edge at the moment does not sit well with me lol.
