Made this run last year after my T5 swap, it was my PB at a 12.4@108, 1.66 60ft. I'm alittle soft on the launch because car still has stock axles. I'm running 3:55's which put me on the limiter 100ft before the traps, so I started short shifting 4th which brought my mph up from 105 to 108. How much would 3:73's help? Click on link above screen shot, better quality video. And no comments on the squeaky window lol.
Edit: why isn't this working? I cut and pasted 3 times now. And it worked on my other thread. Or search "88 Mustang 1/4 pass" on Youtube. Sorry

IMO you're looking at a good 2, maybe 3 mph gain with 3.73s. You are barely getting into 4th and really need a lot more RPM crossing the line I'm sure. I would go with 4.10s if it were me, unless you are planning on pushing a lot more power in the near future.

I think the most I'd go is 3:73's, just because its my everyday driver when it's nice out. I can't imagine 1st gear would be good for anything with 4:10's. But if you think I'll gain that much with the 3:73's, I'll do it.
My dyno run showed peak power at 5950, so I set the limiter for alittle overrev at 6100. Maybe I'll try that, good idea. I'm still playing with shift points, I have 3 tachs in car, (stock,Autometer, and Anderson PMS handheld) none of them match. Sometimes 400 rpm difference between them. I'm trusting my Autometer more than the stock.
As for tire size, I have a new set of 28×10.5's ET Streets that I tried, they worked good on a flat road but fender lip cut them on a driveway approach. They are just a hair too wide with the car being lowered.
Right now my top priorities are upgrading the axles and bumping up injectors to 24's, the 19's are maxed out. So I can't make anymore runs till then.

Thanks, that may work for me.
After watching video again, are my shifts alittle on the slow side? I thought I was was pretty fast during the run, but now I'm thinking "why so slow". This was just a used T5 I threw in, with a no-name short throw.

Lol, yeah I thought about trying that on one " sphincter tighting " run. But I'd like this tranny to last alittle while. I've read that that's the killer of these trannys. Well ……… maybe one run won't hurt. lol
