Went to track...I suck at life(driving).
So I went to the track and yeh I suck at driving. Here is the track prep I did. Lowered the tire pressure to 25 and front 35, mind you these are the street radials, the nittos, me being 255 pounds doesn't help but anyways I ran a 13.1, 2.2 60ft and ran a 108. Other than I need slicks and a driver mod, what should I get if I lowered the 60 to something respectable? And isn't 108 to slow? I'm just so disappointed because I have a blower and ran like crap. Oh temps where in the 80's and I am pretty sure I had tons of heat soak, the 13.1 was after letting it cool down for 30 mins. Tips, hints, constructive criticism welcome. I'm just hoping my blower is working ok. Thanks guys.

I trapped 108 in my 09 GT, ran a 13.0. It had a tune, 4.10s, intake, UDPs, short throw, stuff like that, Street tires. Just for a reference.
Not sure why you lowered the tire pressure, the only time that is a benefit is on a slick, some DRs, but never in a street tire. Street tires are at their best under the recommended psi. You were probably running on the sidewalls, more or less. Your 60' isn't great, but it could be worse. If you can pull a 2.0 out of it, thats about right for street radials.
You spinning when you go into 2nd gear? What RPM are you shifting? And what gear/RPM are you when you cross the finish line?
Just need some info and I'm sure myself as well as others can figure out whats going on here. I'm sure your car is just fine.

Sorry, I am 6'4, so im close. Um well I have ran the car at the track like three times ever but this is the first time with a blower and 4.10s. Yes shifting to second the car wanted to go sideways. I was launching between 2500-3000, I did bog a lot but when I did try just over 3000 I spun like crazy, just couldn't find a sweet spot I guess. I was shifting between 6000 and 6200. I was in fourth gear when I get to the finish line. I lowered the tire pressure because I though it would help, I was defiantly wrong.
And just curious, what do you you guys think i should be running based off this time, assuming the 60 foot was decent and all else went well?

I think StkJock (I probably spelled it wrong and he's rode my a$$ about it before, so sorry, lol!) was mid-high 11s with his 3v vert. Memory doesn't serve well on his exact setup and power level, but I do remember his running very well.
But I'm pretty sure that wasn't on street tires either. I'd say you should be able to click off mid-12's @ 110-112mph in decent air with those street tires. Get that 60 down to a solid 2.0, work on controlling that 1-2 shift, and I see some better times for sure.
A big question I haven't seen yet, what was the DA at the times of these runs. If you are at 4k-6k DA, then that would have quite a bit to do with it to.

Yea, Stk was on tires running 11.4s in the 120s range iirc.
OP, its going to be tough finding the sweet spot on those street tires. I'd try focusing as much on clutch engagement (feathering) as possible versus the launch RPM. Once you get the weight transferred you're usually good to go for the most part. Making that transfer happen can be frustrating. Some suspension adjustments might help with that. As for spinning going into 2nd, all you can do for that is get some tires or just take your foot completely off the throttle until you change gears, then get back on it.
I think if you could pull a 1.9 60' out of it and hold on to 2nd gear it should run mid to low 12s depending on the DA. Probably some easy high 11s if you went with a drag radial.

Ok, thanks guys. No one thinks anythings is wrong with car? It's just depressing almost to have that bad time, that I almost have to think something is wrong with the car lol, other then my bad diving. One guy was saying that he was running .5 tenths slower at this track then at others because of the traction, and this track is known for bad traction, could be excuses too, idk. I really need to get some slicks and try this track and maybe some others and see what this car really has in it. It's just hard to get out there because I usually work on the days the track has test n tune days...
