Oh so close......
Here's a couple of clips of some passes I made last weekend. Took the hot rod to Bristol Dragway for a little 1/4 mile action. Unfortunately, summer hung around and the conditions were miserable... DA of over 4000ft. Since Bristol is a little slower track my goal was 10.70s, but once I found out the DA I would have been satisfied with a 10 sec pass period. The only time I have run the car in the 1/4 (also at Bristol) I had a couple of problems and came away with a 11.25 @ 135, so I was really hoping to get that 10 sec timeslip. Even though I know the car will do it (best 1/8 of 6.83 @ 108, which should be good for 10.60s on drag radials), it still isn't the same as having the actual slip in your hand for proof. Here are the two passes I made, first pass it bogged pretty bad and didn't 60ft very well, ran a 11.17@129. The trap speed alone shows how much the DA was killing performance... The second pass it launched better, shifts were clean and on time, and going thru the traps I KNEW that was a 10.80 pass. Nope.... 11.06@128. Hopefully going to Atlanta at the end of the month to try again, hopefully will pick up a ton of ET with lower elevation and better temps racing at night.

Close sucks! What were your sixtys like? It sounds like you were spinning. Hard to tell from the background noise. I'd bet the change of venue and better air and cooler temps well net you at least 3 tenths.

On the first clip 60' was 1.86, and 1.77 on the second clip. Way off my best of 1.62.... Track was to slick to hit it real hard coming out of the hole. I'm hoping for 10.50-10.60 in Atlanta... It was a full 6mph off Saturday so I think it is possible, as long as it isn't 90 degrees that night lol!
