Haha, I was just waiting for Captain Obvious to come back in here to tell me that his modded LS1 will whip my stock Mach 1. Mid 13s are right about where it should be as it sits. Slow, yea...where it's supposed to be, yep.

Whats awesome is youve owned plenty of LS powered cars. Ive owned LS powered cars. This kid thinks they are the fastest thing on the planet. People on this forum know exactly what LS powered car run. And they dont run with me without major mods! He doesnt know any better!

Exactly. I've had at least 5 LS1s, and I love them. But you're right, by today's standards they need heads and a cam just to hang with a tune only GT, SS's, etc. Poor kid has a long ways to go before he even begins to comprehend.

Thanks Orange. Those are seriously the worst 60s I've ever pulled in a Mach. I'm way out of practice, been running automatics for the past 5 or 6 years now.

Well I've had several LS1s, so I do know. Fastest I went with bolt ons, tiny stall, and drag radials was 12.2 at 114. Tune only 5.0s do that all day long. It took a cam to run 11s without taking out seats and all that bs. So what did yours run?

My HCI LS1 went 11.5 at 118mph full weight. What has yours ran? I'm not arguing mod for mod, which is faster. It has way too much to do with the drivers. I do know that when you get down to hard numbers, bolt on for bolt on the 5.0 is going to pull the old LS up top. I never sweated them at the track too much because like you said 95% of the time I would pull a better ET, but that's the drivers fault not the car. On that note, I've seen plenty run low 12s and high 11s with tires, few bolt ins, and a tune. Same for the LS. Drivers race. But anyway, what does your Z28 run through the 1/4? Or have you tracked it?

Not a terrible pass stone, decent mph worst case you've got low 13's. Nice to finally have another mach around here.






I've been pretty busy and absent the last couple weeks so i didnt see this until now, we've got a solid S/S section that accepts all makes/models no nut swinging here. If you want to join the mouth breathers and troll your stay will be half as long as his was. I'll be keeping an eye out
