How low is my car going to be ?
So I've just been looking around on some websites at lower springs for my 2002 gt. I think i may lower my car sometime in the future but how do i know how low it will be ? I want it lowered but not lowered to the point where a small speed bump, cracks in the road or a driveway will become my cars worst enemy. On websites they don't really say how much the springs will lower my car so how do i know which ones to buy ? I don't want to go lower then 1.5in an 1in drop would be ideal... at least i think?
Anyone have any helpful insight or experience on the matter ?

Most quality sites should tell you what lowering springs will drop you. I'm pretty sure American Muscle lists it for every set of springs they have. The ones johnny_raincloud linked to lower more than most other springs. Sportlines likely WILL cause you trouble on speed bumps and driveways. The Eibach Pro-Kits give a little less drop, around that 1.5" mark. I'd suggest that with just about any lowering springs and aftermarket exhaust, you may find certain speed bumps that catch you. I even hit my prochamber sometimes at stock height if I hit some speed bumps too hard. But yeah, like johnny said, check AM and look at pics as well.
If you just want around 1" drop, you may just take a look at the Ford Racing C Springs. The BBKs look like they about 1.25". A lot of the rest are around 1.5".

UPR's lowering springs lower an '02 GT about 1.5" front & rear. I've run these on my '04 GT and they made the car look nicer, it handled MUCH better, but it was still totally functional. (no bottoming out or banging around over bumps)

I have H&R Super Sports on mine. Lowers 1.7" in the front and 2.4" rear. So far, no problems. Been over a few speedbumps and my driveway has a rolled curb. A 1-1.5" drop should have no issues. Just maybe the parking curbs. Watch for those, they are front end destroyers.
