Default turbo sizes

All I want to know is when looking for a new turbo, it gives you a number like .76 . What does that number mean and how big can you go on a 2.3 motor?

It depends on the mods. Stock T3's were .48 and .63 hot side, .60 cold side.

The best is a 50 trim or a holset HX/HY/H1C with a 12cm turbin housing

turbos choice can be tough. and from what i understand at the moment bigger is not always better. for turbo choice, especialy if your going with a new turbo i recommend research, ask everybody you can in as meny places as you can that know there stuff and you should end up in the right direction. search turboford.net too.

Just Remember this Simple way of lookin at Turbo Sizes

Pick a combo
Turbo Lag/High Boost

Low Boost/No Lag

Moderate Boost/Moderate Lag

the Bigger the Turbo the More boost, But the Longer you have to wait to enjoy it.
