Decent for what it is. It wasnt made for the curves and the weight of the vehicle shows that. If you plan on open tracking it, switch to a solid rear axle and get to work on weight reduction.

To the contrary of what Matt said.. compared to any Factory mustang - it corner unbelievably well... even with my drag radials which dont corner well.... the IRS's strong point is road racing. He is right the weight is stupid high, but can be dropped with modifications.

The car won't corner with RX8's, Corvettes and Vipers... but it corners just fine - better then his T/A

I actually have a 96 cobra now lol. Lowered with Koni adjustables on front and rear. Care to open track it with me?

Also, a solid axle will outperform an IRS setup on an open track. The IRS just makes a more comfortable ride around town.

With some tires - I would go all day long with you... well until I crashed :-)

Edit: I have driven a 96' Cobra (moms bf use to have one)... and my 04' Cobra with suspension work for cornering, and my Cobra corners better.... my GT had LCA, Lowering springs - sports, and the adjustables as well.... and my Cobra corners better still... with straight line tires on it...

It wont really compare...well maybe to a 330 but compared to an S2000 or an M3, it wont be on the same page. Those cars handle like their on rails and are much lighter and much more easy to throw into corners. But like i said, if you are just driving it on the street, it will be fine.
