whats so great about termies?
so the 99 thru 01 model cobras come with like 320 stock(autotrader.com) and the termies come with 390(same source). in know the actual stock numbers vary, but NEWAY..........how come they couldnt get anymore out of the same liter engine and a S/C on the termie!!? we all know the termie rules roads!, but how come the numbers are so average next to its earlier kind? i mean...same size engine WITH a s/c and only approx. 70 more ponies???[:@] hmmmmm

RE: whats so great about termies?
they are underated a bit make more like 415 at the crank if i remember correctly. They also have way more potential, with exhaust, intake and pulley youll get around 450 rwhp and 450+ tq, plus fully forged, better irs, and t56

SVT did this so the kind people of this forum could pick one up brand new, off the showroom floor for under $40,000, pay a decent price a month for insurance, not get hit with a gas guzzler tax.....and most importantly, blow the doors off most anything with $2500 in upgrades with labor included !
Oh, and the good folks at SVT probably would have been a little more accurate if they listed the 03 - 04 Cobras as 425 hp, rather than 390.

also u have to consider that the termy is an 8.5:1 compression motor, not a10.5:1 compression motor. If u were to take the supercharger off, and just run it NA, i would probably be making, only about 270-280 hp. of course the lower compression allows room for more boost.....
