Default NEED HELP DECIDING TO BUY 96 COBRA

I can't decide if this is worth dumping the money into or not. 1996 white Cobra. Engine = Bottom End built with "H" rods, Forged dished pistons. Heads ported/polished, cams, springs,Novi 1000, MSD Coil packs and ignition and I can keep going on and on. Eibach springs, subframe connectors,31 spline axles, detroit locker. Engine has less that 2k on it Car has 43k.Dino sheet shows 449 rwhp @ 5800. I have searched through alot of sales info and found them anywhere from $5K TO $18k. Body is in Excelent shape.

I haven't ever played with the 4.6s, always have been a 5.8 and 5.0 fan. Looking for EXPERT advice!!!!!!

He is asking 13,900. All of the engine work was done by a shop somewhere in Texas. It has only had 2 prior owners, I know the 2nd one well and he keeps it stowed in the garage. I have pictures of the build and dino tune. From what I was told there was way more money put into this engine that what the car is worth.

$13,900? I'd say offer him $13,500 and call it a day driving home in that beast. I'd do it.

I have been beating my brains out trying to make a descision on this!!! It has been a while since I had driven something that will you pucker tight, like this beast did. The only downfall I have with it is, that is loud inside the cockpit with those long tube headers and 2 chamber flowmasters. But it would be worth it.

I would say $12,500. Mention it's DD status and the drone in negotiations. If he is selling such a car either he needs the $ or maybe the maintenance or practicality of it is not his cup-o-tea.

I can get over the drone. I will have to change out the flow masters though. They sound really good on a 5.0 but not just right on this application.

I am going to try and post some pictures, bear with me I have never done this here before.
