03 Cobra "piston slap"
#21
i knw what your talking about man, its a very distint clunk, cant be mistaken for anything else. i had a 5.0 it used to do it, i had a 4.6 f150 also did it and my 97 Svt Cobra does it but as soon as it warms up no more slap, ive been told its the rings being a different material then the pistons that they dont expand at the same rate as the pistons, and its suposed to be a normal thing

Diesel is a good way to describe it...only on a cold start up! & once up to normal operating conditions, fine...at least you got a letter...love the Saleen!
