Current Order Delivery Time? March 2016

In my case it was the local auto port that was dragging their feet. If you live in a major metropolitan area (SF Bay Area in my case), it was the backlog of getting cars on the delivery trucks to dealerships after arriving by rail at the rail offloading facility.

Just for thought, since I got a printout of every detail of where my car was along it's shipping route, Canadian National Railways transported my car from the Ford plant to Chicago where it was then transferred over to Union Pacific Railroad for the journey west of Chicago. It's possible that your car may be shipped by rail by CN from Flat Rock, MI to Chicago, IL. and then transported by truck.

After talking to Ford CS, I was told part of the delay most likely is the plant does these in batches and waits for enough orders before starting production, she also told me that they do production in quarters, if they have more then the allotment, then they get pushed to the second quarter. Another thing they told me is if based on your custom order if they are out of part that could also hold up production, but she told me my situation was most likely the former two possibilities more then the latter.
