It's a deal at all. That's a basic offer price. I'd shoot for 23,500 or 24k before tax. That would be a good deal. I think the dealer can make a better offer if they want it off the lot.

But to be honest I own a 2016 auto v6 and after a few months of driving it around realized it lags a lot of power even with a tune the auto trans just isn't fun. I've put so much money into mine and it still feel like I should have waited to buy a used 14 gt with what cash I've spent.

I also found a '14 V6 Premium with 2300 miles for $18500---it was a $31k car when new---see how much it dropped---& a '14 Challenger V6 base for $19300= another $27k when new but dropping..... I like the 2016 Mustang but know as soon as I buy it I lost $$.... hmmmm

You can buy a used low mileage 16 for around 19k. Like under 10000 miles

Walk away unless 0% interest, come back during special events.

If you like it and want it ,buy it.There is more to buying a car than the price. The feeling and smell of a new car is worth plenty.

I would say, if you like it then buy it. Negotiate as reasonably well as you can and see what's the best price they will offer you.
