I checked on your order and it did schedule last Thursday and received a VIN. It has not received a build date or an ETA yet, but it should in the next week or so. Keep checking with me.

On April 15 I ordered a EB Fastback Premium, Magnetic Gray/Saddle, as a part of my dealer here in Ames, IA regular order. The dealer # is 53Y574, order # is A15R. What are the next steps here? Get VIN? Get build date? Get delivery date? Looking forward to driving this great luxury sports car. Next, must sell my 2006 GT Premium convertible with only 33k miles. It's been a great car, but looking forward to new one.

Dude-you just ordered my car-I have had rave reviews on the color combo you ordered..which is exactly what I ordered..
Once you get the VIN, about a week after you will get a build date-which is really a build week-I got an estimtae on my order of 8-10 weeks---got it in 8...you will love the machine...best of luck with it all!!!

The only lingering question is whether I could order the 3.55 (instead of 3.31) rear gears as a 'stand alone' option? The online info and brochure says no, and I forgot to ask the dealer when ordering. My '06 GT Convertible has the 3.55 gears and has great acceleration and still get 23+ on the interstate. I don't expect the EB to get near the 32 hwy mileage @77mph as the turbo will be kicking in. But I just want the same acceleration, better handling, luxury interior and great looks. I'll probably have to work on the sound though.

I also ordered the 201A package to get the shaker speakers and blind spot warning-which is more the reason I ordered it-the shaker is awesome-even for old guys like me...
I am not sure you are going to get a whole lot of oomph from the rear gear change...but I am happy with the stock gears-the turbo clocks in per Car and Driver at 5.8 for 0-60...not bad...
