it's a "security" setting so spammers can't show up and just start blowing up people's inboxes.

Try one or two more. Then, click on a name in the left hand window and see if "send Private Message" is a menu pick.

I could PM with 14. I don't know what the real number is though.

After many posts, I still cant see a PM option when clicking on the name on the left of anyone, just a window to see their profile. When I go to their profile, I can't see any PM buttons their either.
