A kid near me has a protege speed. I'm pretty sure it's an 03.5 because the first ones had big fog lights and a smaller wing. Anyway I'm almost positive he'll beat me if we ever did race but he's been running his mouth about how his 4 cylinder could smoke my V6. Don't know if he has any mods so I was just wondering if any of you guys know what they run stock and how well they would run/respond with some mods like intake/exhaust/tune, I doubt he'd have more than that. Thanks. mods are in my sig, I know it's not fast just looking for advice.

high to mid 14's stock i beleive. So just Go get yourself a 75 shot and dont tell him

^^^ They are not that fast. Magazines clocked them in the mid 15 second range, so figure a great driver will get down around 15 seconds.

With that said, it is turbo'd, so the mod potential is definitely there. I'd say it's going to be a good race if he is stock.

FYI- It's Mazdaspeed Protege, not Mazda Protege Speed.

my buddy has one, they run mid 15's stock. ive seen his car run high 15's at the track.
