Default My V6 Mustang vs RX8

Ok, I have a 09 base mustang. The only mods are a boomtube axleback exhaust and a k&n air filter.

I would like to know if I could keep up or beat a rx8 with an unidentified exhaust and intake.

If you guys think I will get beat, what should I get to hang with them?

If he can drive, you'll lose by a decent amount.
Stock a RX8 is a mid 14 second car, whereas yours is a 15 second car.
Don't be afraid of losing a race(as long as money's not on the line), just go and run your car and see how you do against him, then you'll know how much money you'll need to invest into your car to beat him.

Good luck man!

Is it an auto or manual RX8? The automatic RX8's have alot less power than the manuals.

if it's an auto then you should be able to take him.
Go from a dig, those cars have no torque what so ever

Well I raced a manual and I took him by about 3 lenghts. He must have not been that great of a driver. We ran twice from a dig and once from a roll. All races ending with about the same result.

Good kill!
Really go's to show you how badly having a manual transmission can hurt your performance when you can't drive for crap, eh?

****er ran a 17.8 1/4 mile (5880ft above sealevel)

still the next time he staged...... revving that POS to hell.

I love the RX8.........As a road race or autocross car. There out of their element at a drag strip.
