run in vs cool guy and motor swapped new edge
i had a run in with a guy last night with a new edge gt. it had some sick body kit on it, looked like a roush, and the exhaust came out on either side underneath the doors. We did two 3rd gear pulls from about 70 and i put a couple cars on him it seemed like, but i couldn't really be too sure, might've been a bit more or less. anyways, i asked him what he had and he said he has a 5.4 motor? i thought he said 5.0 but sure enough it was a 5.4. the only thing that i thought was kind of odd was that he said he had it dynoed and it only made 250 rwhp, but it made 330 ft/lb of torque. is that right? thats a ridiculous amount of torque for what it is. i wasn't sure if he meant at the flywheel either, then he told me that his car wasn't tuned . so i might've been in trouble if he was tuned. are alot of people swapping 5.4's into their cars?

he put a truck motor in it?
the only 5.4L people should be putting into these cars should be from a GT500.. so where's the S/C? or did he buy just the gt500 engine from someone who had already sold the stock s/c? There are ofcourse other 5.4L engines..

that might've been it then. yeah i was confused when he said it was a 5.4, i asked 5.0 and he responded with haha nah man its a 5.4. yeah that explains the torque issue then, those navigators need good amount of torque to help propel it off the line.

A stock SOHC 5.4L could easily make those numbers. The '04/'08 5.4L SOHC found in the F-150 were rated at 300hp and 365ft/lb at the flywheel.
Yes it does. Also remember that trucks have a ton of loss to the rear wheels; HD trans, HD rear axles and heavy wheels and tires.
