That's totally a concept and the C7 I seriously doubt will look anything like that.

As far as the 5.5L, IF they make the engine, it will be interesting to see if they go OHC with it, or in typical GM style manage to develop yet another badassical OHV cylinder head, and just turn more rpm with it. Manufacturing and materials tech has changed a lot over the last 10 years, and 7k rpm pushrod engines aren't difficult to achieve, especially in a higher end car like a Vette.
they're for sure going to make it. they have to have it to meet regulations in the ALMS GT2 racing. it's either that, or Corvette is out of GT2 racing.

That makes sense then. If it's pushrod, I'm guessing it'll be the next gen LS type head and have a stock 7k rpm redline or somewhere around there. Between that and direct injection, the power goal should be fairly easy to achieve.
