Default Think I can go 12's??

Ok the last time I ran the car was back in August the weather was 95 degree's out 55% humidity and on my best pass the DA was 2650.

The car with me in it on my bogarts and full race trim is dead on 3300 pounds. The car had at the time explorer intake 1.7 rr's, cai, 75mm maf, 70mm tb, udp's, shorty headers, h-pipe, 4 cyl tranny, aluminum ds, on 275/50/15 nitto dr's w/ 3.08 gears. I slipped the clutch from around 6 grand and ripped this off.

60' 1.90
1/8 8.49@82
1/4 13.26@102.56

Since then I've added e-fan, long tubes and x-pipe, and 3.73 gears 31 spline axles and alburn pro posi and I'm getting 27x10.5 Hoosier QTP's mounted on the bogarts tomorrow.

I plan on going to Virginia Motorsports Park Next Saturday (Nov. 20th) to see what she can do..... I plan on Launching about as hard as I can So I wont bog, What do Y'all think my time slip will look like if we get some nice cool weather on that day??

with ease considering your setup... even before your new mods

just go in like 50 degree weather and you should be set for 12.7's or so I would assume considering you get traction in the colder weather

if it's a nice cool day and you get a flawless run with a superb short time I'm going to give your car the benefit of the doubt and say it will go 12.7-12.8 @ 104-105MPH

factor in 40 degree colder weather and more than likely another 15-20RWHP with a better gear ratio and you will be in the 12's

but that is just me speculating

not a lot of people achieve 12's on your setup but I have a feeling your car could actually do it seeing how you modded it

Stock E7 heads? Impressive.

As long as you hook, you've pretty much have 12's in the bag. Plenty of guys never touch 12's with high $ H/C/I set ups.... You make it sound easy haha

Hell yea man I honestly would be Happy if I pulled off a 12.9 but I kinda aiming for 12.8's around 104-105 but I got faith in the slicks on hooking me up so we'll see.

I definately see 12's. The car is modded "right", so to speak, and I know the driver's got plenty skills. I'd like to go and record the first 12sec pass, but work will more then likely stop that.

Its funny as hell thats the first thing people ask about is the heads (which we knew would happen). But I seen the motor myself. Of course we have no way of KNOWING about the cam, but if its aftermarket in any way/shape/form, that was a big ol waste of time, haha.

Those do seem like some high dyno numbers for an E7 headed 302, though... Yes, no, maybe?

I guess it's inline with your trap speed, on second thought.

Oh, its definately on the "higher end" as far as the dyno numbers go, no doubt.

I wasn't trying to be a smarta$$ when I made that comment about folks asking about the heads.... he (my brother, the op) already knew questions were gonna get asked, and maybe a lil bs called about the mods the car has. It was rightfully expected (it doesn't exactly "make sense"); All he can claim though is what he knows is done to the ride.

I'd like for you to be there too so with that being the case go on and ask off for that day almost a week in advanced and it could work lol.

I know the car runs really strong for what's done to it, but my old 87 GT I had witch was stocker then this one (as far as bolt on's) and they where not even good stuff, the car wasn't much slower than one.. The car was heavier and and had 2.73's and all so I don't see where it is that odd for it running so well. That's just me.
