That just shows how little you know about the new 5.0's. The stock clutch and pressure plate was a problem in some of the early build cars. I put what my car ran in my sig. I'm not ashamed of it. At sea level or at 6000 DA it would drag your car down the track!!

lulz you guys.

He knows all about the transmission problems with the manual cars. He doesn't care. He got an auto to win the races. He wouldn't put a non brag-worthy time in his sig because it's just that - not worthy of bragging about.

Then, why would he assume he could hang with a C6Z? Did he see a "non-brag worthy" C6Z ET or something?

EDIT:

Yes Stone. This goes back to his post a few pages back. He knows his car, since it's a skill-less automatic, is 10x easier to drive down a drag strip than a stock C6Z. Evidence? I found the video, here you go. Having seen this can you blame him? Considering his car ran a 13.1@108 and he has added mods since then it probably isn't that out of line to expect it would match this very C6Z. Obviously the vette is faster but more often then not it's gonna lose because the average driver is... average. Meh.

They're low 11 second cars...stock. 5 liter Stangs with Mishri's mods are good for high 11s and only with a tire. So with a tire he is still that much behind a stock C6Z, period.

What I meant by my last post was, you guys saw a half *** driven C6Z make a pass or two, and are judging what Mishri's car can hang with by what that particular C6Z ran...

I thought it was normal to give one car a 'perfect' pass and the other a 'as bad as it gets' run.

That hurts my head. I saw a alcohol funny car that crashed once and didn't finish. If he were racing my Z06 I would've beaten him...

I think you might be misunderstanding. He was quite clear in his post a few pages back. The C6Z is faster. But he knows from a dig, if it's an "average" ie crap driver, then yes he has a good chance of winning a drag race with it.

I agree with him. His car could easily hang with a crappily driven C6Z. That's all he was saying anyway in that post.

Have I missed something?

There was a local guy that used to visit this forum alot that had a c6Z. I cant remember his name to save my life but remember he ran with stkjock. He ran everything from an 11.79 to a 13.4. If I recall corectly he had way more 12 second runs than the one 11 second glory pass. Those Vettes are hard to launch. With that said were talking about a 5.0 that will most likely trap 116-118 to a vette that traps 122-124. But I believe an auto modded 5.0 on slicks has a very very good chance of betting the z06 in the 1/4.
