800HP too much for a Fox Chassis?
Well folks - Im starting to wonder how much HP my notch can handle. I've seen a lot of street Foxes that simply seem over powered, and Im wondering what that number is.
I've come into contact with a 496 BBC chevy with a 300 kit, its good for ~700hp, but needs some real heads.
My car has pretty much the entire UPR catalog thrown at it for suspension, and once my f*^%&#@ spanner wrench gets here I'll put it in. In the video, the car has megabite lowers and eibach drag springs.
It's currently running a 350 Chevy and a TH350 trans and a single shot.
I'd like to trade up my small block for some real HP. Any thoughts? And yes, I know it's a chevy motor
Sorry about the bike noise...

Every track i've been to in michigan lets bikes and cars run against each other. never knew places didn't.
anyways, if you're car has a decent suspension(upr pro series not the street crap) and then things like some torque box reinforcements and full length subframes then you'll be fine. there's many foxes running a lot more power than that.

I've raced against lots of bikes with no issue - If you'll notice, there was never a time where I was even close to the bike
The setup from UPR was pretty much everything they had (minus the offending spanner wrench). I have the Wolfe frame connectors and UPR torque box plates bolted and welded into place.

^^Steve Jackson is consistently one of the fastest 1/8th mile drag radial racers in the world, and he's been using UPR suspension for many many years.
Let us know which UPR parts you're running and we'll see if there are any adjustments or changes we'd suggest. Of course, you can always call us at 561.588.6630.
Thank you for choosing UPR Products!
