I dont know what it'll do this year but I expect high 12s on motor and street tires. Down the road I expect Low 12s motor & slicks, high 10 low 11s spray. Stone will have bought 4 new cars by the time this car is finished! I went with the stage one cam because trick flow pretty much says it's a bolt in and go cam. I'm not the greatest mechanic and didn't want to push my luck with clearance issues but a custom cam would be real cool down the line. Late model has a 363 short block I have my eye on also.

http://www.fordstrokers.com/ Highly respected around here. Also, you should join sbftech before you buy anything else. The amount of that knowledge on that site is 10x what it is on here, although most everyone on there is an asshat.

Thanks for the link. I'm a couple years away from a new engine. Wanna do the tranny and rear first. Also wanna work on the suspension.

good idea doing the other parts first. when you do the trans, if you wanna keep o/d i'd buy a used 4r70w and throw the guts into your trans, with some better clutch packs, bands, and some valve body work and it'll handle ~600 for pretty cheap.

Made some good progress this week. Got everything off. Now I'm waiting on the headers to show up so I can install them while the heads are still off the car. The cylinder bores look great. No carbon on the pistons. But the lifter valley had an inch of black dirt in it. What a mess. Suppose the oil didn't get changed enough by the previous owner. Heres a pic of how she sits now.

Shot my wad for this year as far as money is concerned. Next year I'll work the transmission & rear end. I'll do little stuff here and there this year but the big purchases are over til next year tax return & bonus.
