Default Want to take a guess?

Looks like I'm going to the strip tomorrow. 1/8 though. :/ Anyways, anyone want to take a guess on what I will run?

Last time I made the mistake of staying in the water box during my whole burn out so best 60' I could get was a 1.9 spinning in 1st. I ran 14psi in 1st, 23psi in 2nd and 27psi in 3rd/4th. I also didn't WOT shift 1-2, which I will do tomorrow. (few have told me that shift is worth 2/10 in the quarter alone, IDK) I'm going to try 20psi in 1st and 29psi in 2nd/3rd/4th.

Last trip was 7.8@95 11.8@123 (FWIW there was a 20mph headwind that day)

I will borrow a go pro so I hope to have a cool vid.

I hate the 1/8th mile.. might as well be a highway on-ramp i've only been to 1 and i didnt like it.

uhmm.. letsee.. ill guess... 9.3@76 after you blow it up

more likely.. i dunno.. probably not a whole lot better than last time 7.6@96mph? I'm not sure how much extra hp with +6psi in first/2nd and +2psi in 3rd/4th you'll see in the 1/8th.. you might have traction problems and actually run worse with a higher trap, depends on track prep too then. when i went to an 1/8th track the track prep was horrible, it was about the same as running on the street.

I will have Roughly 70 more whp in 1st, 65 whp in 2nd and 35whp more in 3rd/4th.

Just going by 21 to 24psi was 30 whp on a super low reading mustang dyno, out of the turbo's efficiency range, so it's likely to be more.

Before the wind started picking up last trip I had one pass that was right at 97mph.

Providing you do a 2nd. gear burnout and come out of the box hard. I'm guessing a 7.4@96-97MPH

You really thinking my mph will be that slow? I trapped right at that before all the added power.

Found the slip. Best trap on the first boost levels was 96.78mph. For whatever reason boost dropped from 27psi in 4th gear to 14psi that run so the 1/4 was only 114psi. haha Nasty 2.1 60' run was a 12.2

I think 7.4 at 99-100 mph IF you can pull a 1.7 60' and get that 1-2 shift in.

Just get out of the water with your burnout and stay on it until you see smoke. Rock your steering wheel back and forth while doing your burnout to pull in as much VHT/Rubber as possible.

It always seamed the better my sixty was the worse my MPH was. It would be awesome if you can improve both. Good luck.

There's a lot to the 60' vs Trap thing. I've got an idea that it comes down to the individual car as to how one effects the other. In my car, better 60s equal better everything, including traps. But where you guys are running big turbos with less NA power, I can see how hooking hard could have the opposite effect and only lower the ET and hurt the trap. There's a lot more to it I'm sure, just don't know the exact science behind it all.
