Welcome back Bickety! I understand the reasons for making that decision, Hopefully you enjoy your new mustang. I guess this is my final wave to you as a fellow vette owner, but I have a feeling you'll be back someday.

If i can sell my car for 29k i'll buy your z06 for 34k

my '07 GT only had 27k miles on it when I traded it in last year, so sounds like you drive it a a lot 34k for your z06 sounds good to me not like there is much/any real difference, anything below 50k is low miles.

Car just turned 5 years old and it has 46,000 miles on it. Not even 10k a year. It has an intake and a dyno tune as well as the ZR1 spoiler. It's in mint condition. I don't see the problem with getting $36k.
We will see.

Understanable reasons for getting rid of the vette but man they are beautiful! Lol

For exhaust I know you said you wanted a deep tone but I enjoy these choices.

Ordered it today. Dropping the Z06 off next week. Dealer let me take a GT for another test drive with my son. Did a nice combination of back road and highway driving. I am very surprised by one thing. I honestly thought that the difference between 420 hp and 505 hp would not be as HUGE as it was when driving the two vehicles. I do have an intake and a tune on the Z06, but I can say that there is no scenario where a 2013 Mustang could hang with a Z06. My Z would pummel the Mustang. Unless there is some sort of computer controlled restrictor on the Mustang I test drove, these two cars aren't even in the same zip code. And that is not a knock on the Mustang. It's over $30,000 less than a Z06. I was just expecting a little more.

Now the wait begins. It will a long 6-8 weeks.

Ah, sucks it feels/is so much slower. That big of a gap is going to make you miss the Z after a few days.

It will. I admit that it was nice knowing that I could handle 99% of the cars I came up against while driving around. But that is really the only thing I am going to miss. Won't miss spending $2,000 on tires every other year. Won't miss the absolute crap NAV system that I still can't figure out after 5 years Or the dog doo sound system. Or not being able to run through the gears without the fear of losing my license! Or knowing the next thing that breaks is on my own nickel. So there are some positives.

It's good to see that I haven't been bumped off this list: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-z...fast-list.html I am hanging tight at #48

I will miss this for sure:
