Default ran my first srt 8 charger

my car must've benefited from those pullies alot. tonight i was on the interstate, a charger comes up fast and passes me. i catch up, in 3rd goin 75-80, good in the powerband. i pull next to him and he hits it and i hit it a split second after. he jumps out about half a car, i stop his pull and start reeling him in, shift to 4th and we're dead even running up to 125 or so. before he hits the brakes. i'm very happy with this outcome. for a light bolt on 4.6 i think i did pretty good. would've liked to gone from a second gear pull, think it would've been pretty interesting. run was done on 87 octane tune.

Good run, a little surprised but maybe he left ESP on.

Nice work! Sounds about right being you should be in the 108 mph range and started out in a good spot. That would've made a cool vid.

Nice run!

You do have the weight advantage (3,373lbs.) Those SRT-8's are still pretty hefty (4160)

I'd imagine a lot of the power of the 6.1 is mostly off the line and through the mid gears...

I have a ferocious low-mid range but my top end is kinda "meh" lol

guys I'm very suprised with the outcome of the race.. We all know that the Chargers are heavy as he** and when going off the line takes a bit to get moving.. At those speeds seems as though the charger (especially being a SRT-8) should have pulled on the OP pretty hard.. Could be wrong and either way man good run and congrats on the win...

Thanks guys. I was surprised I stayed dead even for that long. I thought he would've walked me, but he was the one Looking for the race and I think I gave him a pretty good one. Thinkin about getting a go pro soon for vids. Also ran a rushees '08 dct m3 coupe from 40-80, me having a passenger and him none and
He had a fender on me when we shut it down.

When I trapped 108 - 109 I was door to door with a 300 SRT8 from 70 - 140 that's why I'm a little surprised but maybe I am underestimating your car.

what all did you have done to your car? i've always thought my car was a touch quicker than other gt's i've raced like mine manual or stick (when stock). i wasn't expecting to stay with the srt, i thought i would've gotten walked. whats helped me out with seeing my cars potential is how my run went against my buddies stock '11 5.0. even he was surprised i stayed as close as i did to him, and he trapped almost 114

I think Miler started off at a stronger RPM than that SRT-8, hence the initial pull. I had the same mods as Miler, plus 4.10s and never could trap more than 108. IMO, with the advantage he had from the starting point, it was just enough to keep it even. Got to take into account that Miler was probably gorilla shifting that 3V too. Honestly though, if bets were placed on this run, I would've lost $20, lol. Maybe he had a trunk full of luggage, who knows, lol.
