The Mach is full bolt ons and gears, and the LS2 Goat is basically just full exhaust? If so, the GTO should crush it right??

Man, I'll be honest with you and say IDK. Both of those cars seem to be driver sensitive, especially the Mach. Should technically be a 108-110 mph car vs a 109-111 mph car. I'd put my money on the GTO either way.

No, I think stock vs full bolt on would be a much better race, even then a slight edge to the Goat.

With bolt ons I think it gets relatively ugly.

If the GTO has any kind of mods at all it should eat that Mach for lunch IMO. Back when I had my gt (full bolt ons, gears, cams, tune, etc...) It was a dead nuts race from a roll against my buddy's bone stock M6 LS2 GTO, and it was also a drivers race with my buddy's 04 Mach one with full bolt ons.

Any idea what your buddy ran in his Mach? Just curious cause they are usually all over the place. RYGI that used to hang around here got his into the 11s with just gears, full exhaust, tires, etc. Thats at the track however, out on the highway is a totally different deal.

Correction, it was 12.09 at 113.

No I don't know if he ever got to the track with it (he sold it some time later) but it made 315 rwhp on the same dyno that my gt made around 285 rwhp. It was always a tight race between us. You would never see a bolt on Mach in basic street trim reach those times here in Michigan lol. Was that car gutted or something?

Na man, he was full weight. I'll dig up either his thread or vid for ya. Very impressive to say the least, but he knew what he was doing and was very precise regarding his shift points, etc.

Here's a 12.19 pass of his

Yeah that is damn good for sure! The average full weight (17"-18" rims) bolt ons Mach 1 over here would maybe pull high 12's at best. I've seen several at the local tracks many of times

The best I ever did with mine was a 12.9 at 110, mainly due to the whole street tire thing. Pulled that on a 1.9 in good air. Nowhere near full bolt-ons though. Not sure how much headers and all that crap really help a Mach anyway. Definitely not worth the cost of doing headers on those cars at any rate.
