I guess I must admit, I don't drive at top speed every time. I don't do it with my kids with me. Did hit about 125 today.

Baby got new shoes on Thurs. R-888s back in a 315/30 and T-1 sports up front. Did an 8 hour road trip on Fri. Fifth gear shifting into sixth pegged the speedo at 160 and still pulling, but had to shut down.

how fast are the gt500's supposed to go? They must be knocking on 200mph in the right conditions

I think I read that a stock 2012 made 184 or so. The 13s and 14s would be more with more than a hundred more ponies

Apparently, the newer ones hit 2 bills

http://www.autoguide.com/auto-news/2...ing-video.html

After doing more research it looks like it is governed to 159......which would be why I had to shift to sixth prior to redline then had to back it off...........so.......I guess I hit 159 on the money.

I had my 2011 v6 mustang 6 speed manual ( with just a tune ) up to 150 mph in 4 gear , before I backed off. Drive shaft stayed in place both times.

I was curious if our 3.7s could make it to 150, did you use the speedo or check it with GPS?
What tune do you have?

Sorry Chomeshadow,
I have not been back in awhile.
I used the speedo, at that speed all I did was watch the road and glanced at the speedo until I hit
mph. I know RPMs were up there but I did not look at them.
Oh, it was a bama tune.

Dang new big **** tires are rubbing.....have to take it in today and have new springs and raise the rear.....yes, it was lowered. Also it turns out I have a prototype throttle body I didn't even know I had....BBK power plus twin 65mm. Car is out of warranty and he is trying to talk me into a pulley/tune for another 100+ ponies
