advice for sct x3
i have a 2007 mustang gt 5 speed with steeda cai an x pipe and flowmasters.. i just got the sct sf3/x3 tuner from AM.com with free bama tunes for life and i am very happy but i am curious about what all i can do with the tuner and how to do it! i know i can clear codes and custom tune the car but thats all i know how to do any help or advice would be great bc i have no clue how to use this thing! thanks

The only other function of the tuner that is worth anything would be datalogging. You can hook a laptop up to the tuner via USB cable, and plug the tuner into the vehicle. Download SCT's LiveLink software from their website, and you can drive around and monitor parameters in real-time.
Other than that, you've pretty much got the tuner figured out. There are some end user adjustments on the programmer that allow you to add timing to our custom tune, etc. However we don't recommend you touch them. You're at peak power now, and adding timing could lose horsepower or even worse, get you closer to detonation. You'll also be able to change tire size and gear ratio in the same user options if you ever need to recalibrate the speedometer. All of these parameters are accessed (at your own risk) by custom tuning the car with one of the Bama tunes and choosing Adjust Options when it prompts you. Again, I'd recommend just calling Bama when you need something changed.
