sct x3..locked or unlocked?
I have a x3 that came with a gt that I had, gt is gone and now I have a cobra. I never paid attention to having to set the gt back to stock before it was sold, and now I want to buy some tunes from bama but I need to make sure the tuner isn't locked first. I have looked everywhere and can't find an answer. Most people say under device info it will say married or unmarried but it doesn't anywhere! Does anybody know what I can look for? If somebody can tell me or put up some pics of what I should be looking at then I would really appreciate it!

Unfortunately, the only way to view if your device is married or unmarried is viewed through the device info screen. Towards the bottom of the screen it will say "Device Status" - "Married or Unmarried".
If you don't see that, you could try to load a base map to your ECU. If the tuner is married it will not work, if it is unmarried it will download the map!
You are not stuck with a married tuner (if it is still married). You can contact SCT directly, send the tuner back to them, for a fee of $150 they can manually unmarry your device.
I hope this helps man! If you need any further assistance Our Bama Performance tuning specialists are here in the building Monday-Friday from 9AM-5:30PM EST and Saturday 10AM-3PM EST. You can hit them up directly at 888.226.9764 and they'll get you squared away!

Thank you for responding, Dan. I'll try to figure out how to run the base map, because I've looked through every screen on there and there is nothing that says locked or married, etc. Under my device info screen there is something that says strategy, and some kind of little symbol under that but I can't make out what it is. Thanks again for responding and the info!

Yeah it is weird, I looked everywhere and couldn't find a picture or anybody that knew. I sent sct a pic of what mine looked like on their Facebook page and they were able to tell me. Oh well, guess I'll order another one it just kinda sucks to spend almost $400 to pretty much just re calibrate my speedo! That's the main thing I wanted to use it for.

Oh yeah that would, I have a calabrator for gears from Dallas Mustangs and it came on my car when I got it but if I were buying gears I would just get the tuner it would be better then just buying what I have because all mine does is fix the speedo and nothing else.
