Default Tuning a SOHC 4.0

I recently purchased an '03 Ranger equipped with a SOHC 4.0L V6 in RWD set-up. Avoiding the mod bug is a bit difficult so I'm looking to go with a custom dual exhaust set-up, a CAI, and of course, the reason I'm here, a tune.

Here's the question.

Will a tuner the likes of which you can obtain from americanmuscle.com meant for the '05-'10 4.0L in the base Mustang be able to maximize the output of this practically identical drive train?

Of course I could just leave it be, it is just a Ranger after all, however it almost seems a waste to not take any vehicle that can be modded with to have a little fun with for reasonably low costs.

If the PCM and everything has been swapped over, then I don't see why we couldn't tune it. Obviously this is going to be a very unique case and well have to look into it a little bit further but I would imagine if we just tuned it like it was in a V6 still, it may work.

Give the Bama team a call and we'll look into this for you! Our Bama Performance tuning specialists are here in the building Monday-Friday from 9AM-5:30PM EST and Saturday 9AM-5:30PM EST. You can hit them up directly at 888.226.9764 and they'll get you squared away!
