Default Airaid CAI and SCT SF3 problem

Just purchased Airaid race CAI and SCT SF3 tuner from AM. Installed CAI and loaded street tune and car wont start. Returned to stock tune and it will start but won't idle or even stay running.
Before I ever plugged tuner into car, I downloaded updater and drivers. Updater says everything is up to date and set to auto update.

Would the stock tune run so badly, with the race CAI, that you can't keep it running?
Hopefully this is a software issue, unfortunately it is 7:00pm on a Sat. night so no tech support available.

Put the stock intake back on with stock tune and car runs fine, as far as I can tell. It is 10 deg. F with snow so I can't really drive it.
So it looks like the critical update may have corrupted my custom pre installed tunes.
I am getting a few DTC codes with the 87 octane tune.
P0221 and P2105. Also a P1000.

Does the Airaid have the venturi installed?

Well I called again and finally got a copy of my tunes e-mailed to me.
Loaded street tune and tried to start car and nothing. Still have stock intake on but I can't imagine it wouldn't at least start. This is starting to annoy me. Guess I get to wait until I can put the Airaid back on and try again.
Sure would be nice to have this expensive mod actually do something.

Hey David,

Sorry to hear about your experience! I just contacted the Bama Team and they'll be giving you a call to work this out.

However, I did notice when you uploaded your revised tunes, you also left the stock intake on. It's very important to only use those Bama tunes with the Airaid Race CAI.

If the tunes are calibrated for the Airaid Race CAI and you're using the stock intake, the whole tune will be out of whack and the car won't even idle. The Airaid Race CAI uses a much larger MAF housing, which MUST be calibrated for to have proper fueling.

Try installing the Airaid CAI with the revised Bama tunes and the car should run perfectly. Post back and let me know of your success. In the meantime, I'm having a Bama Tuning Specialists contact you as well!

Finally got some time today and switched out the intake back to the Airaid and car will not start. No fire at all. P2101 and P2107 codes.
Was going to put all back to stock so the car would run, but I tried one more thing. Went into the Strategy tune and left everything default except the air intake. Since the Airaid was not listed I tried the CL race and the car started and idled fine. A short test drive had decent throttle response. Put the Steeda 90mm as the intake and again it started and drove but didn't perform well so I went back to the CL race intake.
I am not going to drive it until I can get the proper map for the Airaid. Sothis is the first instance that the car has started and run well with the CAI.
I will be looking forward to hearing from a Bama tech, and get this running strong.

Thanks for the updating buddy!

I spoke with one of our Bama Tuning Specialists (Don), who said he spoke with you today. Looks like somehow we receive the incorrect PCM code? The good news is this is an easy fix and we'll get your Mustang up and running properly in a no time!

Let me know how things turn out once you get the PCM code to Don. I'm confident things will fall right in line from there! However, let me know if you need anything else!

Yes indeed, it appears that Ford upgraded the ECU but never changed sticker on the unit so it had an outdated code on it. Don had it figured out and once I pulled the strategy code off of it her was able to write a new set of tunes for it and once loaded in the car started right up and runs great. All in time to take her out on date night! Can't wait to get her out on a road course and put the whip to her.
