Has to pass the lastest Snell rating. DOT is not good enough by itself

I have NEVER seen anyone wearing a fire suit while driving a car with an aftermarket blower. Not at NYI not at Lancaster. You need a Snell rated helmet, thenew standard is Snell05. You dont need a helmet until your faster than 13.99 in the 1/4th and 8.59 in the 1/8th. You need a driveshaft loop if your faster than 12.99 doesnt matter what tires you have........... I would only be worried about Lancaster as far as cages/helmets/ driveshaft loops etc go. NYI (aka Leicester) allowed my friend Bill to run low 10's at 141 mph (car is a mid - low 9 sec car with that trap speed)with no cage and a snowmobile helmet, no firesuit with a tubocharged Ls1 camaro. I used my DOT Atv helmet at Leicester for 2 years running mid 13's... so to recap, dont worry bout it

All times given for 1320, who gives a **** about an 8th?

A helmet is required for any vehicle running 13.99 or better.
Roll bar in convertible at 13.49
Roll bar in coupe at 11.49
Above roll bar must be 1 3/4 " OD x .118 wall mild steel, or 1 3/4 .083 Chrome Moly
Above roll bar also only good until 9.99 sec, OR is the firewall or floorpan has been modified (excluding tubbing the car)
If floor/firewall modified, then at 10.99 OR anything greather than 135 mph you must have a FULL cage of at least1 5/8 x .118 MS or 1 5/8 x.083 CM
Roll cages must be certified
Any rear-mounted batteries MUST be equipped with a master electrical cutoff, and must be in a sealed metal box of at least .024" steel or .032" aluminum
Helmets must meet Snell 90, 95, K98, 2000, M2000, M2005, SA2000,SA2005or SFI 31.1A, 31.2A, 41.1A or 41.2A specs. 9.99 or faster must be full-face helmet. Goggles prohibited.
