i want to just be able to do shift points and firmness, along with limiter removal and gears when i get them, which one can i get away with using regular, and would they still tuen a little?
That's the beauty og the SCT. they will put a tune in for 87 89 and 91+ gas. Then it's your choice
yes but if you want to raise shift points doesnt it only do it by MPH?
Nope..by RPM's
ok, well the web site i was on said it was RPMs, im going to get one tomorrow just cause the thing as being a "stock 6" is starting to **** me off, that and the rev limiter

We are talking aboot flash tuners. They enable you to change parameters of the cars ECM. Like timing, air/fuel mix, taking off the speed limiter, changing the auto tranny shift points, and pressure, adjusting the engines rev limiter, and more. They plug into the OBDII port under the dash.

Whoa! That sounds fun, but I know if I touch mine I'll mess up my car. Thanks for the response!

Well, before you can do ANYTHING to the tune, the tuner uploads your car's original tune. Like a safety. Once it has that, the tuner is "married" to your car until the original tune is reinstalled. Totally idiot proof.

Cost @$400.00..unless you can find one on E-bay, or on sale.
It takes aboot 5 minutes or so to install the pre programmed tune.

YIKES! I'll hold off on this, I'm focusing on my car's interior first. But I'll be sure to ask you guys when I'm ready though.
