Rear end going out

Rear end going out
Hi,
I'm a long time lurker on this forum, and I can't seem to find a full answer to my question via the search function. Apparently my rear end is "going out". This is according to a dealer mechanic who replaced my shot motor mounts. Anway, i'm wondering what the rear end going out means exaclty, and about how hard/costly is it to fix. Need to wonder how much to save.
Thanks!
Car info:

RE: Rear end going out
We didn't look at it, so we can't say. Ask him what parts were showing wear, what parts needed replacement, etc. You can pick up a stock 6er rear end slightly used for a lot less than what it would cost to have it repaired.
When he tells you what's actually wrong with it, ask him for a complete quote with parts and cost breakdown and then we'll be able to better help you.

RE: Rear end going out
Hey guys, thanks for the replies so far. Sorry I don't have a ton of info as of yet, I got a "just so you know, the back end is going to go out in 10-15K miles." Dumb dealer guy!
Anyway, it does make noises, its squeaky sometimes, and also it makes a vibration noise, and you can feel the back end shake just a bit. My dad thinks it could also be the U-joints? I'll probably take to my friend who is a mechanic next week.
And for the slightly used 6er rear end, I am interested in that, especially if I could get a T-lok? and some 3.73's. I've learned those are decent minor things to do to your stang from these helpful forums. Where's a good place to look for something like that?
Thanks again!
