I recently just installed longtubes and since then ive been hearing this clattering/rattling noise (like there is bolt in the exhuast pipe) coming from the passanger side in the engine bay. it gets really loud when i accelerate but dies down when i take my foot off the gas. i just un-bolted and re-bolted the header and still has the noise. any ideas in where its coming from or how to fix it ?

Look to see if the header is rubbing on the enginebay or the tranny (if you have a auto).

il go take a look. hope thats it, its a little embaracing when it does it.

well i just checked and its not rubbing on the engine bay. any other ideas? i heard that 2000v v6s have some kind of problem that caused a similar noise but i dont remember what it was.

Sounds like a leak to me.

I had that issue with my ride - after installing exhaust - I kept moving the exhaust around and re-tightening here & there - turns out that the it was just some stupid plastic piece of crap behind the dash rattling around - boy was taking off the dash fun.

im pretty sure its a leak. i dont think it has to do with the dash. does anyone know wat size wrench i would need to re tighten the egr pipe that goes to the headers?

uhhh, try different sizes till it fits??
